ESSENTIAL SECURITY AGAINST EVOLVING THREATS

Keep your important information safe and stay productive with peace of mind. ESET NOD32 Antivirus System offers fast, comprehensive protection against a wide range of malware threats without the burden of bloated internet security suites.

Being able to scan for known viruses and worms is the bare minimum that should be expected from an anti-virus product. It should be reassuring to know that NOD32 not only does this faster, and more reliably than other products, but that it also has an excellent track record in discovering new, as yet unidentified threats. In addition to unparalleled virus detection, NOD32 protects against Trojans, adware, spyware, and phishing. With NOD32 you can be sure you have the most advanced and comprehensive virus protection possible. So easy to use: just set it and forget it.

Comprehensive Protection

Running separate applications for viruses, hackers, adware and spyware can slow your PC and network, be difficult to manage and provide questionable protection. Beware of large, bloated internet security suites that consume hundreds of megabytes and valuable system resources. These typically exist because vendors have acquired products and bundled them together. In contrast, NOD32 was designed from the core as a single, highly optimised engine that works as a unified Anti-Threat system to protect against a broad spectrum of malware.

The ThreatSense Engine

When new viruses, worms and other malicious attacks strike, traditional signature-based technology is insufficient. Malware protection must be in realtime at the point of impact. Every minute one waits or a virus signature update creates a window of vulnerability. The advanced ThreatSense engine is a sophisticated system based on advanced heuristics which proactively closes the window of vulnerability safely identifying and stopping malware.

Anti-Stealth Technology

Rootkits are now frequently used to hide malicious processes and files. Enabling the use of Anti-Stealth technology will allow Rootkits to be detected, even if they are installed and active, and they are hiding files from the operating system. The technology helps on-demand and startup scanners to see the "real world" instead of a false one as presented by an active rootkit. NOD32 can then use signatures and heuristics to detect and remove these threats. It is transparent to users, enabled by default.

Support For Windows Vista

ESET was one of the first antivirus vendors to offer comprehensive 64-bit support to both home and enterprise users, and are also one of the first to offer full Windows Vista compatibility with Version 2.7. ESET has found little difficulty in preparing a product for Vista. NOD32 does not require taking over or bypassing the Windows Security Centre, as do other AV products. Windows Security Centre integration will pose no additional problem for v2.7.
