Nubiq Benefits From R&D

Soon to launch new to the market, www.zinadoo.com is product of Nubiq, an Irish owned company that reaped the rewards of investing in R&D. Tara White reports.

The Irish mobile phone market is one of the healthiest in Europe and community websites such as Bebo and MySpace are now a phenomenon in Ireland. However previously there was no one exploiting the link between these two markets.

Irish company Nubiq develops software solutions for use with mobile technology and their expertise is in developing mobile internet solutions and in bridging the gap between mobile operators and communities.

Overcoming Difficulties

They noticed that there were many difficulties for customers in using mobile technologies in order to create an online presence. With the help of the Centre for Converged Communications Services (3CS), established by the Waterford Institute of Technology [WIT] they set about researching and developing software to eliminate these problems.

After establishing funding, the research began and on September 1st Nubiq will launch Zinadoo.com. "The reaction to Zinadoo from our test users has been very positive. It is helping them to build and maintain contacts with friends, members and customers," said Hélène Haughney, CEO of Nubiq.

Collaborating

"Working in partnership with 3CS has been very worthwhile. There is a team of highly skilled software and test engineers working on Zinadoo. Their process allows for high quality software to be delivered quickly and very efficiently. I can't emphasise enough the importance of collaborating with 3CS to the success of Zinadoo. Working in close partnership has helped us to bring this product to market very rapidly," emphasised Haughney.
